Role Description
We're looking for a Principal Product Designer/Builder who combines design craft with product leadership. You'll define UX/UI strategy and lead product direction for an important part of Pantheon's product roadmap, working as a true product partner. This is a rare hybrid role: you'll design, build, lead, and drive product strategy from day one.
Qualifications

Proficiency using AI tools to accelerate design workflows and increase velocity

Strong hands-on product design skills with the ability to take products from concept through high-fidelity designs and implementation

Demonstrated experience designing products that incorporate AI capabilities and intelligent features

Ability to define the vision for product design within a software organization

Expertise in overseeing the evolution of design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products and platforms

Deep expertise in conducting research to inform long-term product strategy and identify new software opportunities

Ability to drive organizational change and process improvements to enhance design maturity

Expertise in using success metrics to evaluate the impact of design solutions on user outcomes

Ability to mentor designers and provide strategic input to product and engineering leadership

Ability to articulate product strategy, design strategy, vision, and outcomes to senior leadership, product teams, and stakeholders

Willingness to represent the company's design and product expertise at industry events and conferences
Requirements

Track record of using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Figma AI, generative design tools, LLM-assisted workflows) to accelerate building

Experience in product and product design leadership, with a proven track record of defining and implementing successful UX strategies for SaaS products

Familiarity with Claude Design and Claude code

A strong desire to make an impact

Experience codifying ambiguous problems and prioritizing how to build momentum in solving them

Experience in new product development, including 0β1 product launches

Demonstrated ability to shape the product vision for a product and influence overall product strategy

Experience in user/customer research (execution, synthesis, insight identification)

Proven track record of mentoring designers and fostering a design-driven culture

Ability to effectively communicate with executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams

Experience contributing to the broader design community through publications, presentations, or thought leadership
