Role Description

We're hiring a Staff Product Designer to join our Design Team. You'll report to our Head of Product Design, Ario Jafarzadeh.

Our team is highly specialized, and the core skillset for this role is a deep-thinker who understands complex systems and workflows. You will work across our squads, rotating fluidly across geospatial, ICAM, and other areas, using a product perspective to create a seamless user experience.

Requirements

• Ability to discover what users truly need, even when they don't understand it themselves.
• Work well with Customer Relations, Engineering, Product, and other colleagues.
• Owner’s mentality and comfortable sharing ideas with the C-suite.
• Collaborative, iterative, scrappy, and solutions-oriented.
• Understanding of or interest in the military and defense tech space.
• Active experimentation with the latest tools: Figma Make, Claude, Codex.
• Thrive as a self-starter, embracing autonomy and ambiguity.
• U.S. citizen.

What You’ll Do

As a product designer at Onebrief, your job will be to solve complex military planning problems and help develop a seamless, end-to-end planning tool.

• Opportunity to travel and partner with military planners from around the world.
• Empathize with their needs and translate those into design solutions.
• Support from a team of engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Work will span across UX, UI, and user research.
• Cover all facets of the product, from defining ground-up new features to shaping our design system.
• Work as a true partner to product managers and founders.
• Flexibility to reshape your role over time for personal and company success.
