Role Description
The company is hiring a Senior Video Editor to lead the quality, direction and performance of our video content. This role is responsible for defining, documenting and maintaining creative standards across all video outputs.

Own the overall standard and performance of companyβs video content

Set and maintain clear editorial standards and templates across all shows

Define best practices for pacing, storytelling and retention

Review outputs and ensure consistency in quality and brand

Run regular content reviews using performance data

Team management and workflow

Lead and develop a team of video editors

Design and implement workflows for the team

Manage workloads and ensure delivery across shows
-
Provide clear, structured feedback on edits

Guide editors on storytelling, pacing and creative decisions

Stakeholder management

Act as the bridge between creative, hosts and clients
-
Collaborate with hosts to shape episodes and improve content outcomes
-
Work with the sales and operations team during client-facing meetings and walk through deliverables, timelines and creative approach

Clearly communicate what is feasible within scope, and manage expectations
-
Translate feedback into actionable direction for the team

Act as the primary point of contact across shows

Creative strategy and optimisation

Contribute to how content performs, not just how it looks
-
Advise on short-form strategy, including what to clip and why
-
Support YouTube optimisation (structure, pacing, titles and packaging)

Apply a strong understanding of audience behaviour and retention

Use performance insights to refine creative direction over time

Hands-on contribution

Remain close to the craft where it matters

Step in on key edits, priority episodes or complex projects

Set the benchmark through example work where needed

Support the team during high-volume periods
Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (active subscription required)

Strong experience editing long-form and short-form content
-
Proven ability to optimise existing systems and workflows and drive end-to-end improvements across the production process

Proven experience leading or mentoring editors

Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders on creative deliverables

Ability to confidently communicate and present creative decisions

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Requirements

Experience working on podcast or interview-style content (nice to have)

Familiarity with startup, tech or business content (nice to have)

Experience with YouTube growth and optimisation (nice to have)

Exposure to building or improving content workflows (nice to have)
