Role Description

At Life360, the web experience is a major entry point where families decide whether to trust us with their safety and the safety of the people, pets, and things they love. Getting that experience right is both a design challenge and a research challenge, and we don't believe you can do one well without the other.

The Sr. UX Designer, DTC Web sits at the center of how Life360's digital experience looks, feels, and converts. You'll own the design execution across our web surfaces, from subscription plan selectors and checkout flows to device bundle pages and post-purchase flows. While simultaneously running the qualitative research program that tells us what customers actually need. You'll prototype tests, map journeys, conduct interviews, and turn session data into design decisions, all in close partnership with the DTC team, Creative, Product and Engineering.

This is a role for someone who is equally energized by crafting a pixel-perfect prototype and sitting in on a user interview. Who understands that the most important design decisions are grounded in evidence, not instinct. You thrive at the intersection of craft, curiosity, and commerce.

What You’ll Do

• Own UX/UI design execution across Life360's DTC web surfaces, including subscription plan selectors, checkout flows, feature enhancements, core page experiences, and onboarding flows.
• Prototype and design A/B and multivariate tests in close partnership with the Site Optimization Manager.
• Map the full customer journey across web surfaces, identifying friction, drop-off, and moments of delight.
• Partner with Product to lead qualitative research operations: plan and moderate user interviews, usability sessions, and concept tests.
• Synthesize qualitative signals with quantitative funnel data to build a complete picture of customer behavior.
• Design with LTV in mind: make the trial experience compelling and drive long-term subscription retention.
• Maintain and evolve the web design system and pattern library.
• Create detailed design specifications and work directly with Product and Engineering.
• Partner with Merchandising and creative on Homepage, PDP, PLP and LP designs.
• Contribute to the information architecture and taxonomy of the site.
• Conduct regular competitive design audits and track emerging UX patterns.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of UX/UI design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates both design craft and research rigor.
• Proven experience designing for eCommerce or DTC web environments.
• Hands-on qualitative research experience: you've planned and moderated user interviews and usability tests.
• Proficiency with Figma for design, prototyping, and handoff.
• Familiarity with session recording and heatmap tools.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted prototyping tools.
• Working knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation.
• Strong systems thinker: you design components, not just screens.
• Excellent communicator who can present design rationale clearly to non-designers.
• Native eCommerce web designer with deep expertise in responsive and mobile-first design.
• Collaborative by default: you give and receive feedback generously.
• Bachelor’s degree in User-Centered Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or equivalent.

Requirements

• For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $129,000 to $190,000 USD.
• For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is $149,500 to $176,000 CAD.
