Role Description
Join our expanding design team as a Senior Product Designer, where you'll have the chance to shape the future of video products at Flock. Your primary focus will be spearheading the design of an intuitive and innovative video management systems (VMS) customer experience, ensuring seamless video integration across our suite of products and platforms. This is a pivotal role, as video capabilities are essential to our continued success.
- Collaborate closely with both internal teams and valued customers to uncover needs, define solutions, and craft user-centric designs that exceed expectations.
- Contribute to design initiatives across the FlockOS ecosystem, partnering with fellow designers to bring exciting new features and enhancements to life.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of cross-platform UX/UI design experience (Web, Android, iOS).
- Formal training in design or similar (Graphic design, HCI, Interactive, Communications, Industrial design, Computer Science, etc).
- Experience with video is a significant advantage.
- Expert technical knowledge in working with design systems, libraries, and style guides.
- Outstanding visual design and UI skills (Including color, layouts, iconography, and typography).
- Expert knowledge in prototyping and ideation tools. Figma mastery is a must.
- Extensive knowledge of design methodologies in user research and testing.
- Ability to give and receive design feedback from other designers and cross-disciplinary partners.
- Clear written and verbal communication style.
- A high-quality portfolio that shows web products resolving complex design challenges through iteration and testing.

- Build relationships across the design team, Engineering and Product Management.
- Spend time with customers, and learn the pain points and needs.
- Learn the ins and outs of our Design System and guidelines.
The First 60 Days
- Build trust in the team, product management, and software engineering.
- Build strong relationships with key partners (i.e. PMs, Engineering, Marketing, CSMs).
- Advocate for user-centered practices.
- Help implement improvements to strengthen our design function.
90 Days & Beyond
- Build strong collaboration and trust with the design team, PMs, and engineers.
- Provide guidance, advice, and inspiration to teammates.
- Kick off design initiatives for VMS.
- Contribute to several product initiatives.
- Become a champion for user-centered design practices.
- Design thoughtful experiences, elegant UI, user flows, and interactions for new features.

Salary & Equity
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $143,000 and $175,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators.
