Role Description
As a Content Designer at Facet, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products by crafting engaging content that is free of industry jargon, concise, and performant.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to create intuitive and informative experiences for both our members and our internal team of financial planners.
- Craft content across our entire product ecosystem, from microcopy and user interface text to onboarding flows, dynamic user experiences, and in-app notifications.
- Be a key contributor in shaping the voice of our products, focusing on both long-term content strategy and tactical day-to-day execution.
Responsibilities
- Create content that is free of industry jargon, concise, user-friendly, and performant for a variety of digital products and platforms, including web and mobile applications, for both internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
- Develop and maintain a content style guide and voice and tone guidelines for Facet's products, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and alignment with overall brand guidelines.
- Engage in rapid experimentation and testing, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods to validate and refine content.
- Transform user insights into effective and engaging content solutions.
- Write and edit a wide range of content, including microcopy, user interface text, onboarding flows, help documentation, FAQs, transactional emails, error messages, and in-app notifications.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials, such as website copy, blog posts, and social media content, as needed.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure content adheres to industry regulations and guidelines.
- Present your work to stakeholders and effectively communicate your design decisions.
Requirements
- Online portfolio of UX writing samples required for consideration.
- 7+ years of experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer, Content Strategist, or similar role, with a proven track record of creating performant, user-centered content.
- Advanced understanding of UX principles and best practices.
- Proven experience conducting user research and applying diverse research methodologies, including A/B and multivariate testing, to inform content decisions.
- Advanced experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD required.
- Experience in the Financial industry is a plus.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
