[Hiring] Senior Concept Artist @HyperHug

Role Description

You will become the first Concept Artist on the team and will be responsible for the game's visual direction, developing concepts from initial ideas through to final implementation.

• Support concepts through all stages of production, preparing materials for handoff to 3D, and providing direction for animation and VFX.
• Create concepts for weapon skins, including upgradeable skins and progression lines (~80% of tasks).
• Develop concepts for armor and gear skins (~20% of tasks).
• Work with references, building side-collections and design variations, and refining concepts based on team feedback.
• Collaborate with game designers, 2D & 3D artists, animators, and the producer.
• As needed: create concepts for new in-game assets (weapons, vehicles), locations, 2D icons, etc.

Qualifications

• Experience creating concepts that made it through to final implementation in a shipped game.
• A relevant portfolio featuring weapon, skin, and/or gear concepts in a realistic or semi-realistic style.
• Understanding of 3D production specifics: concepts account for shape, silhouette, and materials, and read clearly for modelers without needing further interpretation.
• Ability to work to a production-ready level: callouts, angle breakdowns, and material notes.
• Skill in working with references: building collections and skin series without directly copying.
• Willingness to work quickly and iteratively, with a calm attitude toward revisions and rejected ideas.
• English - B1+ level, Russian - C1 level.

• Experience working on mobile shooters or survival games.
• Understanding of technical constraints on mobile platforms.
• Confident use of AI tools in your working pipeline.
