Role Description
As a member of the Growth team, you'll play a key role in driving business outcomes by helping users find increased value and efficiency with GitLab.
- Ensure a frictionless experience for users who want to get started, trial, purchase, and explore new features.
- Work to increase the adoption of GitLab Duo, our AI solution that supports developers across the entire software development lifecycle.
- Focus on onboarding and adoption across GitLab's core platform.
- Contribute to user registration flows, onboarding for free and paid customers, feature discovery, and trials.
- Collaborate with UX Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to iterate on new features within the GitLab product.
- Communicate design thinking and ideas through wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visual designs.
- Develop hypotheses and establish clear success metrics to test new features or product changes.
- Engage with our user base and the wider GitLab community to understand their pain points.
- Undertake usability testing to validate your thinking.
- Contribute to our Design System alongside the rest of the UX team and the GitLab community.
Qualifications
- Must have experience working on a B2B SaaS product as a Growth designer, or in a growth-relevant area such as onboarding, user acquisition, free-to-paid conversion, feature adoption, etc.
- Practical knowledge of product experimentation and the ability to apply data in design decision-making.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and the SDLC.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product management, engineering, research).
- Experience conducting your own research with a variety of methods.
- Solid visual design skills with the ability to balance leveraging the design system and recognizing when a unique component is needed.
