Role Description

We're looking for a Podcast Video Editor to join our internal team at RunRemote. If you have experience editing engaging long-form podcast content, a strong eye for storytelling, and can create polished, high-quality videos that keep viewers engaged, keep reading!

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Edit high-quality long-form podcast episodes for various digital platforms.
• Transform raw footage into polished, engaging content through seamless editing and storytelling.
• Create clean, engaging edits with smooth pacing, transitions and professional audio.
• Enhance videos with motion graphics, lower thirds, captions, B-roll and visual elements where appropriate.
• Perform basic colour correction and audio balancing to ensure a polished final product.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to understand creative direction and maintain brand consistency.
• Organise project files and manage multiple editing projects while meeting deadlines.
• Export videos in the correct formats for different platforms.
• Incorporate feedback efficiently and produce high-quality revisions.
• Stay up to date with podcast editing trends, best practices and audience engagement techniques.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in video editing for social media and digital content.
• Strong portfolio showcasing podcast video content and storytelling capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or similar professional editing software.
• Experience with Adobe After Effects or motion graphics software.
• Strong eye for visual storytelling, shot selection, pacing, and content flow.
• Strong audio editing and synchronisation skills.
• Experience adding captions, graphics and branded visual assets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team.

Requirements

• Experience editing business or educational type of podcasts.
• Experience creating teaser clips, reels and promotional videos from long-form content.
• Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools and workflow automation.
