[Hiring] Lead Product Designer @Atlassian

Role Description

Atlassian is looking for a Lead Product Designer to join the Growth Platform team, the organization responsible for Atlassian’s front door: www.atlassian.com . Millions of teams visit our website to discover Atlassian and find the products and solutions that can help them work better. We’re evolving that experience from a collection of standalone pages into cohesive, end-to-end customer journeys grounded in clear customer intent and JTBD, and shaped by AI-first experiences.

As a Lead Product Designer, you’ll play a critical role in defining that future. Partnering with another Lead Designer, Product Management, Engineering, Content, and Growth Analytics, you’ll lead both strategy and execution across some of our highest-impact growth experiences.

You’ll work across the Growth Platform portfolio, setting direction and leading design across several core areas:

• Modernization & craft leadership: Elevate the overall look, feel, and narrative of our website to reflect a modern, premium, AI-first technology company.
• User engagement & activation: Design innovative landing, discovery, and onboarding experiences that communicate product value, capture customer intent, and turn interest into meaningful product engagement.
• Journey-led architecture & JTBD: Help shift our website strategy from disconnected pages and templates toward cohesive, intent- and persona-driven journeys.
• AI-powered experiences & ways of working: Explore how AI can reshape both how customers discover Atlassian and how we design and build for them.
• Cross-functional influence & mentorship: Partner with leaders across Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Content, and Analytics to shape strategy and champion a design-led approach to growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience, with a track record of leading complex, high-visibility web or digital product initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Exceptional visual & interaction craft: Strong point of view on contemporary digital experiences.
• AI-first prototyping & tooling: Comfortable using AI as part of design and prototyping.
• Journey-driven systems thinking: Designing interconnected experiences and scalable frameworks.
• Strategic vision & comfort with ambiguity: Turning complex business goals into compelling visions.
• Data-informed & outcome-oriented: Connecting design decisions to measurable outcomes.
• Collaborative leadership & influence: Building trust across disciplines and influencing stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience designing high-traffic marketing websites, web platforms, digital storefronts, or other large-scale customer-facing web experiences.
• Experience working in Growth, experimentation, conversion optimization, or lifecycle activation.
• Experience operating across organizational boundaries, where influence, alignment, and systems thinking matter as much as direct ownership.

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. We follow consistent hiring practices and account for each candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience when setting base pay within the range.

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

• Zone A: $192,600 - $251,450
• Zone B: $173,340 - $226,305
• Zone C: $159,858 - $208,704
