[Hiring] Junior Web Designer & Front-End Developer @HeyDelegate

Role Description

HeyDelegate is hiring on behalf of one of our partners in the advertising and branded merchandise industry. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Web Designer & Front-End Developer to join a growing remote team supporting international brands and creative campaigns. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for design, a good understanding of front-end development, and an interest in building clean, modern, and user-friendly web experiences.

• Design and build responsive websites and landing pages
• Customize and maintain websites across platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Kajabi, and similar builders
• Translate design concepts into functional and visually appealing web pages
• Ensure websites align with client branding and style guidelines
• Support updates, edits, and ongoing website improvements
• Collaborate with creative and marketing teams on digital projects
• Troubleshoot minor website and front-end issues as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in web design and/or front-end development
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
• Experience working with website builders and CMS platforms
• Good design sense and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Willingness to learn new tools and platforms quickly

Requirements

• Experience with Shopify customization (Nice to Have)
• Familiarity with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite (Nice to Have)
• Basic SEO knowledge (Nice to Have)
• Portfolio showcasing previous web design or development work (Nice to Have)

Benefits

• Remote, full-time contract role
• Working hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST (3 p.m. – 12 a.m. EAT)
• Net salary: KES 80,000 per month
