Role Description
As an AI Native Experience Designer, youβll work alongside designers, engineers, strategists, and clients to imagine and create the next generation of intelligent digital experiences. Youβll combine human-centered design, critical thinking, and strong design craft with a growing technical fluency.
-
Design compelling AI-native products, services, and digital experiences, from early concepts through high-fidelity and functional prototypes.
-
Explore new interaction patterns involving agents, copilots, conversational experiences, generative interfaces, and multimodal AI.
-
Translate complex user, technology, and business challenges into simple, intuitive experiences.
-
Use AI throughout your design process to research, ideate, create, prototype, test, and iterate.
-
Build rich interactive prototypes using Figma and emerging AI-assisted design and development tools.
-
Experiment with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, v0, Replit, Lovable, Bolt, and whatever comes next.
-
Use AI-enabled development workflows to move from design concepts toward working front-end experiences.
-
Partner closely with engineers to understand technical possibilities and constraints and translate designs into production experiences.
-
Prototype quickly to answer questions that static screens alone canβt answer.
-
Design thoughtfully for the unique characteristics of AI, including uncertainty, transparency, trust, user control, and unexpected outputs.
-
Test emerging AI capabilities, understand where they succeed and fail, and translate that understanding into better experiences.
-
Bring ideas to life for clients, helping them see and experience what AI makes possible rather than simply talking about it.
-
Share what you learn and contribute to the evolution of AI-native design practices across Valtech.
Qualifications
-
2β4 years of professional experience in experience design, product design, interaction design, UX/UI, or a related discipline.
-
A strong portfolio demonstrating digital experience design and your ability to move from problem definition through concept, interaction design, and execution.
-
Strong experience with Figma, prototyping, interaction design, and design systems.
-
Demonstrated experience using AI as part of how you design, prototype, or create.
-
Hands-on experimentation with generative AI, AI-assisted design tools, coding tools, or emerging prototyping platforms.
-
Strong foundations in human-centered design, user journeys, information architecture, usability, and user research.
-
An ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, and bring structure to ambiguous problems.
-
Enough technical fluency to understand how modern digital experiences are built and to collaborate closely with engineering teams.
-
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain the thinking behind your work to clients, engineers, and other designers.
-
A demonstrated curiosity about AI and a habit of turning that curiosity into something tangible.
Requirements
-
Used AI to take a design concept all the way to a working front-end prototype.
-
Built or designed an AI agent, copilot, conversational interface, or generative experience.
-
Experimented with voice, image, video, or other multimodal AI experiences.
-
Used tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, v0, Replit, Lovable, or Bolt to make your ideas real.
-
Worked directly with an LLM or AI API, or understand concepts such as context, RAG, tool calling, and agents.
-
Developed some familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or modern front-end development.
-
Designed experiences that account for the uncertainty and non-deterministic behavior of AI.
-
Thought deeply about how people build trust, understanding, and control when interacting with intelligent systems.
-
Contributed to a design system or helped translate design systems into working interfaces.
-
Built side projects, hackathon projects, or experiments simply because you wanted to understand what a new technology could do.
-
Developed strong opinions about what separates an AI experience that is genuinely useful from one that is simply impressive.
Benefits
-
Work in an environment where design, technology, and creativity intersect.
-
Opportunities to experiment with emerging technologies and collaborate across disciplines.
-
Apply new AI capabilities to meaningful client challenges.
-
Engage in projects that may use established patterns or explore uncharted territory.
