Role Description

We are seeking a Group Art Supervisor with a strong background in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing to lead creative development across multiple brands. As a key member of the creative team, you will oversee the execution of visually compelling, strategically sound campaigns that engage healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and caregivers. You will mentor art teams, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and ensure all creative work aligns with regulatory requirements (FDA, OPDP, PAAB, ASC) while pushing for innovation in the industry. You will report to the VP, Creative Director.

This role is open to remote candidates in the United States or Canada, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern time zone.

  • Lead and oversee the art direction for multiple pharmaceutical brands, ensuring all creative work is aligned with client objectives and brand strategy.
  • Supervise and mentor Art Directors and Designers, fostering creative excellence, strategic thinking, and professional development.
  • Partner with Copy Supervisors and Medical/Regulatory teams to create compliant and compelling work that balances storytelling with accuracy.
  • Drive the creative vision for HCP and patient marketing campaigns across print, digital, social, and multimedia platforms.
  • Present creative concepts to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, articulating strategic rationale and visual storytelling approaches.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (FDA, OPDP, PAAB, ASC), adapting creative approaches while maintaining brand consistency and impact.
  • Work closely with account and strategy teams to translate data and insights into engaging visuals that drive engagement and action.
  • Manage timelines and workflow, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope without sacrificing quality.
  • Collaborate with external partners (illustrators, photographers, production teams) to maintain high standards of creative execution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare advertising, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong portfolio of pharmaceutical/healthcare work, showcasing expertise in designing for HCP and patient audiences.
  • Deep understanding of pharma regulatory guidelines (FDA, OPDP, PAAB, ASC) and how they impact creative execution.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and experience leading digital and print campaigns.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex medical information into visually engaging content.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for developing junior talent and fostering collaboration.
  • Experience presenting to clients and internal leadership, with the ability to advocate for creative decisions effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high creative standards.
