[Hiring] Graphic Designer Marketing Intern @Royal Credit Union

Role Description

The Graphic Designer Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Graphic Designer with the visual identity of Royal Credit Union. This role creates high-quality graphic designs and executes creative initiatives to enhance awareness of Royal Credit Union's products, services, brand, and mission. Responsibilities include:

• Developing graphics and layouts for various marketing materials that align with strategic goals and effectively engage audiences.
• Maintaining a consistent brand image and clear visual messaging across all channels.
• Collaborating to ensure marketing efforts are cohesive, creative, and innovative.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a University or Technical College program related to Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or a similar field.
• Must be bondable.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate with a team.
• Familiarity with digital tools and eagerness to explore new technologies and design trends.

Requirements

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Creating a wide range of visual assets including digital and print materials such as social media graphics, brochures, flyers, and advertisements, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
• Collaborating with the marketing team and stakeholders to manage the full lifecycle of design projects from concept to distribution.
• Utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud tools to produce high-quality, modern, and engaging designs.
• Supporting asset management, vendor coordination, and reporting on design performance metrics to inform future projects.
• Conducting research on design trends and competitors to continuously evolve Royal’s visual identity and test new creative approaches.

Benefits

• Compensation: $17.85 - 19.98 per hour (candidates with significant related experience may be higher).
• Working approximately 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 35-40 hours/week during the summer.
• Flexible working hours between 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday based on class schedule.
• Must be able to work remotely throughout the school year and during breaks.
• This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible position that will go from May 2027 - May 2028.
• Must be able to commit to the 12-month internship.
