Role Description

The Game Artist is a creative contributor within Immense Studio's art team, responsible for producing high-quality 2D visual assets that bring our slot game titles to life. Working under the direction of the Lead Artist and alongside Senior Artists, this role covers the full spectrum of game art production:

• Create a broad range of 2D visual assets for slot game titles, including characters, symbols, backgrounds, sets, objects, and UI elements — from initial concept sketches through to finalized production artwork.
• Develop finished designs from creative briefs and rough direction provided by the Lead Artist and Senior Artists, translating high-level ideas into polished, production-ready assets.
• Export and assemble image assets from art files in accordance with prescribed technical parameters, naming conventions, and delivery protocols, ensuring seamless handoff for engine integration.
• Follow the studio's production pipeline diligently, producing art assets efficiently and ensuring they are correctly integrated into game builds.

Creative collaboration:

• Work closely with the Lead Artist and Senior Artists in the development of visual materials that establish and maintain the artistic vision for each game.
• Collaborate with internal and external artists and developers to support cohesive visual execution across all game components.
• Communicate design concepts and progress clearly to the wider game team, supporting smooth downstream production and timely delivery.

Quality and development:

• Maintain a consistent standard of quality across all artwork, taking feedback constructively and incorporating it effectively into revised work.
• Stay current with trends in game art, iGaming visual design, and emerging creative techniques — actively sharing relevant insights with the team to inform and improve the studio's output.
• Continuously develop your own skills and creative range, contributing to a team culture of learning and improvement.

Qualifications

• A strong and broad portfolio demonstrating high-quality 2D drawing, illustration, and digital art skills across a range of styles and asset types.
• Proven experience producing game art or visual design assets in a professional studio, entertainment, or games industry context.
• Proficiency in industry-standard digital art tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of game art production pipelines, including asset preparation, export, and technical delivery requirements.
• Highly creative, detail-oriented, and well-organised, with the ability to manage workload effectively across multiple concurrent projects.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative working approach.

Requirements

• Experience producing art specifically for slot or casino game titles within an iGaming studio.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling or rendering as a complementary skill.
• Knowledge of animation principles or experience working alongside animators in a game production context.
• Awareness of HTML5 and mobile game technical constraints as they relate to asset creation and optimisation.
