Role Description
The Flex Image Production Tech - Video Editor is a skilled video editor and must have a solid understanding of audio mixing, color grading, and compositing. Some videography, photography, and lighting experience will be helpful to bring understanding to workflow development, which will be a part of the job. Strong technical understanding, creative problem solving, and communication skills are a requirement of this very collaborative role.
This is a flexible schedule, as needed position and not full-time. Hours and scheduling will depend on volume of work.
Responsibilities

Edit, color grade and optimize video clips for Internet use

Provide, maintain and coordinate accurate file/data entries across multiple computer applications

Provide reporting and process documentation as needed for production planning and process scaling

Work closely with production and post-production colleagues, photography studio, and other business partners in the publication process

Strong communications skills supporting collaboration with other studio and business teams

Understand and communicate information within a high-paced and detail specific production environment

Follow defined processes accurately and efficiently

Propose new processes for production optimization

Provide video process training for teammates as needed
Qualifications
-
Minimum 2-years' experience or equivalent education in video production and digital imaging

Experience in a high-output, fast-paced digital post-production department preferred

Working knowledge and creative use of current video software platforms including Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite, and Media Encoder

Knowledge of still image production and Photoshop preferred

Skilled in working with raw footage, including encoding experience

Experience with a variety of plug-ins and tools such as Avid, ProTools, Apple Logic Pro, Adobe Audition would be a plus (but not required)

Strong understanding of color space and color management for web

Strong working knowledge of audio editing/mixing

Studio lighting experience is a plus

Strong design, organization and production skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Proficiency in current Mac and Windows operating systems

Visually precise, detail oriented, and deadline driven
