[Hiring] Fire Alarm Systems Designer @Johnson Controls

Role Description

• Provide CAD Drafting support for design department.
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation for fire alarm system installations (using provided tools and libraries).
• Work with a designer to prepare CAD drawings based on project requirements, including:
  • Floorplans
  • Calculations
  • Details
  • Other diagrams as needed
• Support internal customers by addressing questions and other support requests.
• Interact with other team members to:
  • Accomplish tasks
  • Achieve common goals
  • Solve problems
  • Resolve conflicts
  • Measure achievements
• Use department processes and goals when planning self-directed work activities.
• Complete administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Skilled in use of AutoCAD versions 2023 and higher.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to work with direction, independently or as a member of a team.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple assignments and responsibilities.
• Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Effective and professional communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.

Requirements

• Knowledge of fire alarm system principles a plus.
• Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical system schematics and diagrams a plus.
• Working knowledge of REVIT/BIM a plus.

• HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $35-$44 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
