[Hiring] Direct Response Performance Designer @Penbrothers

Role Description

We are looking for a Direct Response Performance Designer who is absolutely obsessive about converting cold traffic into customers. We are not looking for a portfolio designer or a Figma file polisher.

• Design and ship high-impact Product Detail Pages (PDPs) that move the needle on conversions.
• Design native-ad style advertorials and compelling "reasons-why" pages tailored specifically to cold paid traffic.
• Create AI-generated images and visual assets using Midjourney, ChatGPT, and similar tools for cross-functional use across pages and ads.
• Contribute to A/B tests on PDP elements using data-backed hypotheses, not subjective vibes.
• Deeply review Voice of Customer (VoC) research prior to designing, utilizing our rich Reddit research libraries available per product.
• Maintain modern velocity by shipping v1 variants in days and iterating weekly.

Qualifications

• 3 to 10 years of dedicated experience in Direct Response (DR) design, conversion rate optimization (CRO), or growth design.
• A proven e-commerce or DTC track record with specific brands you have successfully shipped performance assets for.
• High proficiency in Figma and comfortable handling asset deployment via Shopify.
• Complete fluency with ChatGPT and Claude natively built into your weekly workflow.
• Professional working English, as the vast majority of team communication is async and written.
• An obsession with CRO, performance design, and DR.
• An autonomous, proactive work ethic.
• Comfortable navigating analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Hotjar, Clarity, Meta Ads Manager).
• Ability to communicate clearly and possess the confidence to voice constructive critique.

Requirements

• Experience with Midjourney, Cursor, Lovable, Replo, or Figma AI is a bonus.
