[Hiring] Design Engineer @webAI

Role Description

This role is a 4-6 week contract not intended to go beyond this timeframe.

As a Design Engineer at webAI, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to create compelling microsites for product launches and campaigns—standout experiences that bring each release to life for our audience. You’ll also maintain and evolve our marketing website, keeping it engaging by exploring new front-end interactions, animations, and features that reflect our brand and product.

Responsibilities

• Partner with designers and engineers to build microsites for product releases.
• Maintain webAI's marketing website, keeping it fresh, performant, and aligned with our evolving brand and product vision.
• Champion user experience and accessibility across the front-end stack, maintaining a high quality bar.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with modern front-end technologies, including React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and CMS platforms.
• Proficiency with animation libraries such as Motion, Three.js, Lottie, Rive, and Spline.
• A strong focus on web performance, accessibility, and SEO — from Core Web Vitals to semantic, search-friendly markup.
• Clear reasoning through technical trade-offs, paired with an AI-augmented workflow (Claude Code, Cursor) to prototype and ship fast.
• A sharp eye for visual and interaction design, grounded in solid UX fundamentals.

Nice to Have

• A track record of authoring UI libraries or contributing to open source.
