[Hiring] Casual Student Design Assistant @University of Alberta

Role Description

This role is for current U of A students.

• Operating within External Relations, the Brand team focuses on building the U of A’s reputation through stewarding a strong visual identity and applying it to marketing and communications materials across the university.
• The team is looking to add two part-time students at approximately 20 hours per week per student to support users of the External Relations Marketing on Demand program with graphic design assistance.
• The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver small, simple, graphic design-related requests in adherence with the U of A’s brand guidelines and specifically within the Canva platform.
• The role will be client-focused and require a successful candidate to approach requests with timeliness, collaboration, and the application of consistent design standards.
• Hours are flexible.

Qualifications

• Current U of A student.
• Experience with graphic design, preferably using Canva.
• Strong understanding of brand guidelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage time effectively.
