Role Description

This Designer role will be a temp to perm position. The designer will be responsible for designing and assembling the book jacket mechanicals so that they are reproducible for print and electronic usages. Each designer works on about 150 titles annually. Some front cover design work is possible. This department services the Avid Reader, Scribner and S&S imprints.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in InDesign & Photoshop
• Must have strong typographic sensibility
• Must have an interest in books and reading
• Book publishing experience preferred
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented

Requirements

• This role is open to remote candidates
• This role is also temp to perm, after conversion to permanent, the FT salary is $58,500
