Role Description
Are you a production-focused Architectural Drafter with strong AutoCAD skills, comfortable stepping into an ongoing residential project and hitting the ground running? We're looking for an AutoCAD Architectural Drafter to provide temporary coverage for our client in New Jersey, supporting residential projects during a short-term gap. This is a flex, remote opportunity covering the period from September 28th to October 23rd, 2026.
What you'll do:

Pick up and implement redlines accurately during the Schematic Design (SD) phase.

Produce Design Development (DD) and Construction Document (CD) sets of plans, including floor plans, sections, and elevations, for residential projects.

Prepare permit-ready CD sets for submission to local authorities.

Prepare CD sets to be presented to the general contractor.

Pick up and implement redlines efficiently during the CD phase, maintaining accuracy and consistency across the set.

Translate schematics, notes, sketches, and direction into clean, accurate, and well-coordinated drawings.

Ensure drawings are coordinated, consistent, and aligned with project standards throughout the coverage period.

Communicate clearly and reliably to ensure a smooth handoff and continuity on the project.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.

Strong AutoCAD proficiency β comfortable producing full construction document sets.

Proven experience working on residential projects.

Experience translating schematics, redlines, and sketches into clean, consistent documentation.

Solid understanding of drawing standards and coordination for architectural deliverables.

Ability to work independently and pick up an ongoing project quickly with minimal oversight.

Advanced English level with clear written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and a production-oriented mindset.

Availability to cover the full period from September 28th to October 23rd, 2026.
