[Hiring] Sr. Data Analyst @Borrowell

Role Description

As a Data Analyst you will be a key member of Borrowell’s Data Analytics Team. Your role will be pivotal in informing new marketing and product initiatives and powering the recommendations we personalize to each of our 3+ million members.

• Provide a window into business performance and help to make recommendations on what we build next.
• Responsible for creating and managing insights, experimentations, forecasting, and reporting for various business partners at Borrowell.
• Monitor existing key performance indicators, explore new areas of data to drive business growth and product development.
• Make company data accessible, insightful and actionable to the different business divisions.
• Focus on being a data thought partner to a designated Product Manager and related cross-functional Product pod.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end analytical projects, from defining the right metrics to delivering clear, actionable insights.
• Perform deep-dive analyses aggregating data from multiple sources, utilizing advanced SQL and statistical techniques.
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments, ensuring statistical rigor.
• Collaborate across functions to identify data analytics problems and execute solutions.
• Translate product requirements into clear and actionable data tasks.
• Build, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using our analytics platform (Looker).

Qualifications

• 3+ yrs working experience in a Data Analyst or similar quantitative role.
• Proficiency in SQL (e.g., complex joins, window functions, query optimization).
• Excellent communication skills, able to use data to tell a comprehensive story.
• Proven experience with analytics and data transformation tools such as Looker, Tableau, DBT or similar.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles.
• Experience with A/B testing design, execution, and statistical interpretation.
• Strong statistical knowledge (e.g., hypothesis testing, confidence intervals).

Nice to Have

• Undergraduate (or higher) degree in a quantitative field.
• Knowledge of Python, R, or Airflow.
• Exposure to product-based tech startups.
