[Hiring] SEO Data Analyst @Twinkl

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced and technically-minded SEO Data Analyst to join our SEO team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an analyst with a background in SEO to apply their skills to large-scale, SEO-first sites. You will be the bridge between our data and the actionable insights that shape our organic growth strategy. You won't just be reporting numbers; you'll be using your technical skills to analyse large-scale data, uncovering trends, opportunities, and the "why" behind our performance.

• Use SQL to query and extract large datasets from our data warehouse, including web traffic, rankings, and crawl data.
• Utilise Python (using libraries like Pandas/Polars, NumPy, Matplotlib) to clean, analyse, and visualise data to identify performance trends and opportunities.
• Own the design and maintenance of dashboards and reports in tools like Google Data Studio or Tableau to monitor key SEO metrics.
• Analyse SERP (Search Engine Results Page) landscapes, competitor performance, and other forms of search data to inform content and technical SEO strategy.
• Collaborate with the wider teams to provide data-driven recommendations.
• Design and run SEO tests and other experiments, analysing the results to prove the effectiveness of our SEO initiatives.
• Communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Comfortable writing SQL queries to join, filter, and aggregate data from multiple tables.
• Strong track record in SEO, with a solid grasp of technical SEO, on-page/content, ranking factors, and how search engines crawl and index at scale.
• Working knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, and at least one enterprise crawler or SEO platform (e.g. Botify, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, Semrush).
• Practical experience using Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience building reporting in tools like Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Clear communication skills to articulate findings and the story behind the data.
• A proactive attitude and a desire to learn and develop new skills.

Requirements

• Experience working with APIs to extract and combine data from multiple SEO and analytics sources (desirable but not required).
• Experience with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse (desirable but not required).
• Experience working with large websites (1m+ pages) (desirable but not required).
• A broader interest in digital marketing beyond SEO (desirable but not required).

Benefits

• A friendly, welcoming and supportive culture.
• Flexible working with fully remote and hybrid working options.
• 33 days annual leave per year, pro rata.
• An additional day of annual leave, a Me Day, to take time for yourself.
• Charity day to volunteer and support a registered charity of your choice.
• Westfield Health (including Health Club discount and Westfield Rewards discount and cashback).
• Learning and Development opportunities, with opportunities for internal mobility across various departments.
• 4 x annual salary death in service life assurance.
• Enhanced pension after long service.
• Enhanced parental and adoption leave after long service.
• Quarterly awards designed to reward and recognise our wonderful Twinkl employees.
• Seasonal events for all UK employees.
• Twinkl Subscription.
