Role Description

Experienced Senior Risk Analyst proficient in SQL, Python, or PySpark with 3-5+ years of analytics experience working as a risk/data analyst in Credit or Fraud Risk or Collections. This is a remote-first opportunity for US-based employees with the option to work in-person out of our Manhattan office.

As a Senior Risk Analyst, you'll:

• Spearhead the analytics for initiatives to enhance our Repayments and Collections strategies and optimize associated costs through innovative solutions and A/B testing.
• Leverage advanced analytics to drive actionable insights and develop go-to-market strategies.
• Monitor high-performance metrics and stay abreast of industry trends.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
• Have ownership over Risk governance and analytics in a collaborative environment.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve:

• Lead the analytics on initiatives to improve repayment rates in the short term and long term, and optimize costs.
• Develop insights capabilities to monitor performances and proactively identify trends and anomalies.
• Optimize Zip’s external debt collections strategy, monitor agency performance, and work closely with vendors.
• Enjoy end-to-end ownership of your analytics in a collaborative environment.
• Partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization to drive high-visibility strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Credit or Fraud Risk or Collections.
• Expert SQL skills and a passion for analyzing data in the Risk domain.
• Proven analytics experience working as a risk/data analyst.
• Prior experience in the financial services or lending industry is a must-have.
• Data-driven with the ability to influence decision makers.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL; knowledge of Python or PySpark is preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
• Growth mindset and eagerness to apply AI tools to streamline workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-organized with the ability to operate independently and prioritize effectively.
