[Hiring] Senior Pensions Data Technician @Capita

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Pensions Data Technician to join the Consulting division of Capita Pensions Solutions. You will be part of the team that owns and manages projects to cover complex extraction, analysis, cleansing, and processing of pensions data to create better outcomes.

• Work with the Scheme Events Leads and Scheme Event Manager to deliver requirements for Scheme Events and Projects.
• Review the work of Pensions Data Technicians and provide feedback and technical support.
• Be responsible for the accuracy and quality of Scheme Events and Projects.
• Correspond and build working relationships with clients and Capita colleagues.
• Regularly review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and controls.
• Adhere to Quality Management Systems and comply with pensions and FCA regulations.

Key tasks include:

• Lead on the delivery of assigned projects and scheme events.
• Promote the provision of a first-class experience for customers.
• Perform data processes, including:
• Running and specifying data extracts from the administration system.
• Transforming extracted data into the required format and structure.
• Performing and specifying data uploads to the administration system.
• Building Mail Merge letters.
• Performing bulk calculations in Excel.
• Building and enhancing Excel templates and macros for regular jobs.
• Creating audit trails of all work and communications.
• Testing bulk communications and calculations.
• Providing project updates and time scales to Scheme Events Leads, Project Managers, and Scheme Event Manager.

Qualifications

• DB pensions experience
• Technical pensions calculations/analysis
• Bulk data analysis/manipulation
• Excel - Demonstrate the ability to use filters, sorting, pivot tables.
• Excel – Can use formulas including lookups, IF and nested IF statements.
• Excel - Can import data/text files and use data validation.
• Project Management Skills

Requirements

• Desirable: PMI Qualification
• Experience working on Scheme Events projects
