Role Description

Bertoni Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Scientist based in LATAM with advanced English proficiency to join a fully remote project for one of our U.S.-based partner’s client.

  • Lead the design and execution of advanced machine learning and causal inference models to measure and optimize omnichannel engagement strategies.
  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria on data science projects, overseeing the end-to-end process from problem definition to model implementation.
  • Work with large-scale healthcare datasets, including claims, prescription, digital engagement logs, and survey data, to derive insights into HCP behavior.
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, and business development teams to translate data insights into strategic recommendations that enhance customer engagement.
  • Act as a key data science representative in client engagements, effectively communicating insights, methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Have broad analytics experience or innovative knowledge, and use skills to contribute to achieving client objectives in creative and effective ways.
  • Foster innovation by exploring and integrating emerging technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual applicants (native Spanish or Portuguese fluency, and advanced English fluency, or vice versa) who are currently living in Latin America.
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of experience.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. PhD preferred.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience applying causal inference techniques (e.g., causal impact analysis, uplift modeling, DoWhy) to marketing and engagement analytics.
  • Strong background in predictive modeling, classification, segmentation, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and commercial biopharma data sources such as claims data, HCP interaction logs, and prescription data.
  • Experience working with clients and strong ability to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex data science concepts into strategic business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to driving impact through data science.
  • Advanced written and spoken English fluency along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Independent contractor (This type of contract does not include paid time off, tax deductions, or insurance. It only includes the gross monthly payment based on hours worked).
  • Initially 6 months, with possible extension based on performance.
  • 100% remote outsourcing. The client is based in the U.S. and is looking for nearshore talent.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week), U.S. Eastern Time (EST).
  • Contractors must use their own laptop or PC.
  • 1 open position.
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • The steps of the selection process are:
    • 1 interview with Bertoni Solutions.
    • CV review by our partner.
    • 1 technical interview with our partner.
    • 1 final interview with the end client.
