Role Description
This role involves coordinating legal research focused on immigration cases through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
- Request FOIA's for every case
- Investigate/Research via outbound calls and emails
- Coordinate with client coordinators to obtain fingerprints and signatures for FOIA requests
- Prepare cover letters as needed, identify the information needed to submit FOIA requests
- Coordinate with in-office administrative assistants to pay for FBI and State requests
- Manage email boxes to ensure record requests come back
- Review record requests once received to pull high-level details to provide to the Paralegals
Qualifications
- Experience in legal or currently studying something related to law
- Previous experience as a paralegal or working in a law firm is preferred

- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
- Team player
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Great English and Spanish language skills are a must

Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- 5 days a week
- 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM EST
Hourly Pay
- $6/hour
