Role Description

This role will maintain and develop the data governance and management function for a major consumer goods client account. The person will be responsible for building solid and long-term data governance programs aimed at reducing organizational risks coming from poor quality of real estate data.

This position will be part of the global specialized Data Governance structures of JLL Technologies, and functionally embedded in the on-Account organization. Specifically, this position will involve:

  • Establishment and driving the Client Account level Data Governance policies, processes, and data standards.
  • Development of Client Account data governance and management framework across service lines to ensure the consistency and integrity of the data; obtaining business’s buy-in for the said framework.
  • Oversight of Master Data Management key elements and data flows.
  • Daily business communication and relationship building with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, to drive data strategy and democratize knowledge on data, including development of mature Data Stewardship program.
  • Accurate prioritization and development of the Data Dictionaries.
  • Facilitating meetings with data owners, data consumers, data stewards, data producers and other stakeholders to ensure data governance rules and standards are applied to data-related changes and projects.
  • Partnering with IT, BI and service lines counterparts to understand the business context for data management activities.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions regarding data quality and processes.
  • Supporting the Account in knowledge management by establishing and documenting data flows and processes.
  • Supporting the external Client in providing Data Governance guidelines and recommendations for datasets and systems maintained the client in-house or by third-party vendors.
  • Offering best practices to the Client and support them in their deployment in the Client's holistic data landscape.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of data governance / data management related experience in an enterprise environment across multiple application systems and business functions.
  • Strong experience in client relationship management.
  • Experience in a role of business analyst or similar.
  • Familiarity with database management processes.
  • Knowledge of data lifecycle and maintenance processes.
  • Knowledge of data governance and how it impacts business processes.

  • Ability to work with various levels of peers including analysts, developers and executives regarding complex business and data related issues.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy and ability to make effective decisions and solve problems.
  • Superior ability to manage, manipulate and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations. Articulate the issues and resolutions via business-friendly communications. Serve as primary day-to-day contact for regional data management issues.
  • Management of timelines and deliverable schedules, recognizing and sharing risks and roadblocks.
  • Familiarity with Tableau and PowerBI (business user) and best practices in data insights delivery.
  • English at C1+ level (proficient).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Familiarity with SQL.
