Role Description

We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Digital Data Services team within the Information Technology department. This role is 100% remote and requires US Citizenship. Candidate must reside near an MTSI office in Huntsville Alabama, Alexandria, Virginia, Dayton, Ohio, or Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Data & Business Intelligence Analyst turns enterprise data into trusted, actionable insight. This role partners with business leaders, program teams, and technical stakeholders to:

• Define meaningful measures
• Develop scalable reporting solutions
• Improve how the organization uses data to make decisions

The analyst designs and maintains Power BI products, supports modern Microsoft data platforms, strengthens data quality and governance, and helps users confidently adopt self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, business operations, or a related discipline.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance: US Citizenship required.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, including working knowledge of DAX, Power Query, semantic models, and data visualization practices.
• Working proficiency in SQL for data retrieval, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting, preferably in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Experience gathering requirements, defining KPIs, testing outputs, documenting solutions, and translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Understanding of relational data, dimensional modeling, data warehousing, ETL or ELT concepts, and enterprise systems integration.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
