[Hiring] Senior Data Analyst @Circle

Role Description

As a Senior Data Analyst working on financial reporting at Circle, you’ll work closely with our product, treasury, finance, and accounting teams to ensure that we meet our reporting and regulatory requirements and continue to be a trusted, compliant actor in the crypto ecosystem. You will also work to make sure that the most important financial information we track is well organized and understandable. You’ll also have the opportunity to draw insights from our rich data and help make sure that our teams are looking at these important problems in the right ways.

• Partner with teams across the company to understand how their products will affect our reporting duties.
• Design data requirements, data models, business logic, and a reporting layer that helps us track and verify that we are meeting our regulatory requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of how we think about our finances and accounting.
• Build frameworks and systems that help us see when something might be going wrong.
• Build scalable automated solutions utilizing SQL, Superset, other reporting tools, scripting languages, and AI.
• Occasionally share your results with larger audiences to educate them on the inner workings of our engineering and financial systems.
• Partner with accounting and treasury to solve important data problems that arise as new opportunities and regulations arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering).
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, such as R or Python, for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
• Experience with bank reporting, business banking, financial services, or other similar industries.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain to non-technical audiences and potentially regulators about how the systems you own and design work.
• Strong collaboration skills that allow you to ensure alignment among product, product engineering, data engineering, finance, accounting, and treasury regarding reporting and requirements.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Base Pay Range: $132,500 - $157,500.
