[Hiring] Senior Data Analyst @Monzo

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Financial Health squad focused on supporting customers in financial difficulty. As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Analytical Engineering peers on data-driven insights and initiatives.

• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists in an agile product environment.
• Champion the use of data and bring ideas to life through a rigorous analytical approach.
• Focus on improving support for customers in financial difficulty.
• Ensure operational processes are well controlled and meet regulatory requirements.
• Generate insights to drive the direction of our Financial Health strategy.
• Develop and maintain Looker dashboards, reports, and metrics assessing business and customer outcomes.
• Ensure accurate reporting to third parties and regulators.
• Build and maintain controls to ensure business processes run as intended.
• Lead projects to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of data.

Qualifications

• Passionate about using data to improve and inform business decisions.
• Motivated by solving challenging problems and collaborating closely with subject matter experts.
• Excited by the opportunity to work autonomously in a fast-growing, ever-evolving business.
• Comfortable getting hands-on as well as thinking strategically.
• Experienced with a variety of Data Analysis tools.
• Solid grounding in SQL.
• Experience in Financial Health is a plus, but not required.

Requirements

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform for analytics infrastructure.
• Familiarity with dbt and BigQuery SQL for data modeling and warehousing.
• Proficiency in Python for data science.
• Experience with Go for application code.
• Knowledge of AWS for backend infrastructure.
