[Hiring] Senior Credit Analyst, Financial Health @Monzo

Role Description

This role involves supporting the Financial Health team in creating a positive impact for customers facing financial difficulties.

• Work on initiatives to improve portfolio health by engaging and rehabilitating customers in financial difficulty
• Support the design and roll-out of financial health strategies by finding patterns in the data and translating these into insights
• Design and monitor impact assessment and forecasting models for financial health activities
• Develop, maintain, and monitor credit models to assess net present value of arrears cohorts/segments
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control teams to design and deliver product changes
• Support the design and roll-out of new products and customer journeys
• Assess how the arrears portfolio will perform over time across products
• Work with Operational teams to ensure accurate forecasting of Financial Health activities

Qualifications

• Experience in unsecured retail lending (e.g. personal loans, credit cards, overdrafts) with exposure to managing customers in financial difficulty
• Understanding of the unsecured retail lending market, especially for distressed portfolios
• Strong analytical and data capabilities, backed up by technical coding skills (SQL is a must-have; Python and Looker experience is a plus)
• Working understanding of the regulations that apply to lending in the UK, especially Consumer Duty
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and improve products
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex problems and decision points
• Experience in project management and coordination across teams
• Ability to collaborate in a team with diverse skill sets
• Highly motivated to bring positive impact to customers and Monzo

Requirements

• Experience in unsecured retail lending
