Role Description

This role covers all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle with respect to data warehousing and reporting solutions. Responsibilities include:

• Requirements analysis, report content identification, and report functionality analysis.
• SDLC documentation and recommending designs/solutions to meet business requirements.
• Determining and recommending reporting enhancements or improvements for existing and new processes.
• Documenting business requirements (BRDs) and functional design specifications (FRDs) for conversions, interfaces, and reports.
• Driving efficient and effective joint business/IT requirements and solution discussions.
• Identifying functional gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinating and driving issue resolution with cross-functional teams during the design and development process.
• Working closely with users to define and document use cases, scenarios, and test scripts.
• Preparing and executing test plans to ensure solutions/design meet business requirements.
• Creating documentation for processes, training, and operational support.
• Ensuring requirements are delivered in timely stages.
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance.
• Researching, defining, and evaluating data requirements and specifications for departmental projects.
• Performing evaluations of data and data structures from disparate systems.
• Mentoring and training other Business Systems Analysts as needed.
• Acting as a liaison between business clients and technical staff throughout the life cycle of projects or process improvements.
• Staying current with technology trends, solutions, and vendors.
• Performing other job-related duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required.
• 7+ years progressive experience in business requirements analysis and data analysis are key success factors for this position required.
