Role Description

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a bridge between E-ISAC business stakeholders and the Data Analytics team, helping translate business needs and operational challenges into clear requirements, actionable analysis, and effective solutions. The role evaluates business processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, supports the development of metrics and reporting, and helps ensure analytics and technology solutions deliver meaningful business value.

Your Role

• Business Analysis & Requirements:
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, reporting, and data requirements.
  • Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical specifications.
• Data Analysis & Insights:
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to assess business performance, identify trends and issues.
  • Help define and maintain KPIs, metrics, business rules, and reporting requirements.
• Process Improvement & Solution Design:
  • Evaluate current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, automation, and user experience.
  • Support business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
  • Serve as a connector among business stakeholders, the Data Analytics team, project managers, and technical partners.
  • Facilitate requirements discussions, solution demonstrations, stakeholder reviews, and feedback sessions.
• Solution Delivery & Continuous Improvement:
  • Support prioritization and delivery of analytics and technology solutions.
  • Identify data-quality and reporting gaps, monitor implemented solutions, and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Documentation & Communication:
  • Maintain clear requirements, process documentation, decision logs, and other project artifacts.
  • Communicate analytical findings, recommendations, business impacts, and project updates effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Goal oriented with strong critical thinking skills, curiosity, desire to learn, and passion to solve complex issues and problems.
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in system analysis, business, computer science, information systems, or equivalent degree.
• Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience translating business needs into user stories, process flows, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify business process improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to independently analyze data using SQL.
• Desire and ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• Experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, data science, or data engineering teams.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data, AI, and machine learning services.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence technologies, including prompt engineering and model training.

• The position may be based remotely but must be able to travel to NERC offices or meeting locations if needed.
