Role Description

The Bikeleasing Group is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer (gn) to strategically evolve our data warehouse from a functioning MVP setup to a scalable, robust, and future-proof platform. This role involves:

• Taking technical ownership of our data warehouse and continuously developing its architecture, data models, and quality standards.
• Using dbt strategically for modular modeling, tests, documentation, and refactoring to reusable patterns with Jinja, while establishing best practices within the team.
• Improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of our Redshift-based warehouse and helping to professionalize our platform for the long term.
• Developing new data pipelines and ensuring their clean orchestration and stable operation in Airflow.
• Contributing best practices in governance and observability, further developing standards for data quality, ownership, monitoring, and documentation, and ensuring that issues are identified early and addressed reliably.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a comparable role.
• Very strong SQL skills and expertise in data modeling, complex transformations, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with Airflow, monitoring, and the stable operation of data workflows.
• Curiosity about business processes and the ambition to actively shape governance, quality, and transparency of a data platform.
