[Hiring] Senior Accounting/Business Analyst @UnitedHealth Group

Role Description

The Business Technology Solutions (BizTech) Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive support for Optum business partners in reporting, innovations, migrations, and systems. The Sr. Business Analyst will be a lead and subject matter expert on migration efforts to move businesses from current accounting tool to PeopleSoft ERP. Will work closely with department managers, IT Teams, and business partners helping to bridge the gaps on enhancements and migrations.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

• Ability to lead a project from inception to deployment
• Act as subject matter expert on migration projects
• Ability to analyze large sets of data with the purpose of preparing for migrations
• Ability to lead conversations with business partners on new migration projects, system capabilities, and processes
• Document current and future business processes
• Drive for improving and standardizing each process
• Support short- and long-term business initiatives
• Communicate and train on initiatives to both internal and external business partners
• Develop, recommend, and implement business solutions through research, analysis of data, and business processes
• Translate requirements into functional requirements for development teams
• Provide support during the Design, Development, Testing, & Production phases of a project
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Attend scrum meetings, standups, retrospectives, and demos as needed to collaborate with system development partners
• Communicate and train on all new business processes
• Troubleshoot any system or process related issues

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in business or process analysis, finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience with problem investigation and resolutions skills
• 3+ years of experience in leading large-scale projects
• 3+ years of experience in large-scale ERP environment (ex. PeopleSoft)
• 3+ years with intermediate level of proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Requirements

• Business migration experience moving a business from one financial tool to another
• Intermediate level experience in waterfall, agile, or hybrid environments
• Experience working in a global organization
• Proficiency in project management from inception to deployment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a manner that fosters collaboration and commitment to results
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements
