Role Description

• Develop new and maintain existing SAS programs to extract, aggregate, and manipulate pharmacy and medical claims for analyses to support ad hoc data requests.
• Participate in the interpretation of business requirements and creation of technical specifications including data dictionaries and programming specs.
• Perform statistical analysis, and generate reports to answer research questions.
• Perform quality control checks on code, data sets, analytic outputs, research manuscripts and other deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and/or masters degree in health services research, health economics, biostatistics, computer science, epidemiology, sociology, psychology or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience programming in SAS (including proc SQL).
• 3+ years' experience supporting health services, health economics, and outcomes research.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience with administrative claims data, EHR/EMR data, or complex relational health care databases required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience using large administrative claims assets from health plan/payers.
