[Hiring] Sales Analyst III @Mercury Insurance Services

Role Description

We are seeking a motivated Analyst III, Sales Analytics to advance analytics related to agency compensation and incentive programs. In this role, you will work closely with the broader sales analytics team on other sales analytics efforts including:

• Sales planning
• Territory management
• Agency analytics
• Business performance analytics
• Multi-rater analytics

This position collaborates with sales leadership, technical product managers, and product management to influence enhanced analytics offerings around compensation analytics and for sales. This is a hands-on individual contributor position – prior experience in P&C sales analytics, product management, or related discipline is required. The ideal candidate will have:

• A solid understanding of P&C concepts
• Sales/underwriting experience
• Strong analytics acumen
• The ability to partner with team members across various disciplines – sales leadership, product management, data science, and IT

While this role is primarily remote, travel for the National Sales Meeting and other designated in-person team events will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in Business Administration, Mathematics, or Statistics (preferred)
• Masters degree (preferred)
• Extensive experience in data manipulation using tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Python or equivalent

Requirements

• At least 5 years of insurance related experience, preferably in sales or marketing or similar analytical role including a minimum of 3 years in an analyst role
• The ability to provide reporting with complex data elements
• Preferred knowledge related to the Property & Casualty Insurance industry, as well as to the following specific product lines: Home, Auto, and Commercial
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate mathematical/statistical reasoning required for accurate reporting
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, SAS and SQL
• Ability to produce quality work within tight timeframes
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed
• Adherence to the Company’s privacy policy due to the sensitive nature of information handled in this position
