Role Description

At ICON Strategic Solutions, you will work in a sponsor-dedicated model, supported by ICON’s global expertise. We are seeking a remote Real‑World Data (RWD) Programmer / Data Analyst for our LVA research and evidence capabilities team with strong healthcare data experience to support internal research initiatives. This role is programming‑focused and requires hands‑on experience working with healthcare claims data and EMR data.

The ideal candidate is a data programmer, not a biostatistician or data scientist, with deep experience preparing and programming real‑world datasets for research use.

What You Will Do:

• Provide programming and analytics support for real world evidence generation including analytics, research, dashboard creation, etc.
• Programming and managing real‑world healthcare datasets, including:
  • Healthcare claims data
  • EMR data
• Performing data cleaning, transformation, and normalization prior to analysis
• Translating raw data into analysis‑ready datasets
• Creating and maintaining data dictionaries and programming documentation
• Supporting internal research teams with hands‑on analyst and programming support
• Contributing to broader analytics efforts as needed

Qualifications

• Advanced degree, PhD, in quantitative field with 3+ years of experience (e.g. statistics, epidemiology, public health) or a Master's degree in analytics related field with 7+ years of experience in real world data and real-world evidence generation
• Strong programming experience (SQL and R)
• Direct experience programming Real‑World Data (RWD)
• Hands‑on experience with healthcare claims data
• Experience working with EMR data
