Role Description
As a Product Data Analyst on the Product Team, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to inform strategic product decisions, enhance user experience, and drive marketplace efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to integrate analytical insights into product development.
- Own and develop data models to enable reporting (often referred to as Analytics engineering).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor product performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
- Drive metric excellence through clarity, consistency, and data integrity for better decision-making and product impact.
- Own and refine key metrics with product, engineering, and data teams to ensure accurate mapping to business goals.
- Work with Data Scientists to understand behavior and model hypothesis for exploration.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in product analysis or a related field with data engineering experience.
- Preferably experienced in marketplace products with both demand and supply sides.
- Strong ability to analyze supply-demand dynamics, optimize platform performance, and drive data-informed product strategies.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, identifying behavioral patterns, and generating insights to enhance user experience, engagement, and marketplace efficiency.
- Proven track record of using data to influence product decisions, with concrete examples (in GitHub or a portfolio) that have directly contributed to product value and growth.
Requirements
- Intermediate SQL: Expertise in writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Experience with DBT or similar tools for robust data modeling.
- Experience with preferably Snowflake or alternatively comparable cloud solutions.
- Skilled in Tableau or similar platforms for actionable insights.
