Role Description
We’re looking for someone to join our Retail Pricing team as a Pricing Analyst either working remotely or based in our Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex office. In this role you’ll support and develop pricing changes within First Central, validating and building confidence in the pricing algorithm as well as relevant data systems surrounding the pricing process.
- Support in refreshing predictive models using linear and non-linear statistical techniques
- Monitor, maintain and update existing statistical models
- Solve key company questions and provide analysis, insight and competitive advantage
- Produce recommendations, analysis and reports that maximise customer satisfaction and profitability
- Pro-actively seek ways to improve existing processes in the Retail Pricing Team
- Play a vital part in attracting graduates and other talent into the company and supporting them on their journey
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:1 in a numerical undergraduate discipline
Requirements
- Experience working with data / data modelling
- A strong problem solving mindset
- Experience working with Radar (nice to have)
- Previous experience in the Insurance industry (nice to have)
- Strong background in statistical methods
- Experience of personal lines insurance analysis is an advantage
- Experience of SAS, Emblem, Excel and advanced statistical techniques
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach
- Excellent data and statistical analysis skills
- Strong IT skills (including Excel and ideally programming skills)
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good time management and organisation skills
