[Hiring] Junior Data Analyst @Lean Solutions Group

Role Description

We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to help transform raw data into clear insights that support business decision-making and operational performance. The ideal candidate has strong foundational analytical skills, familiarity with structured data, and an eagerness to learn how to develop reports, dashboards, and basic data models.

• Work alongside experienced data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy.
• Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and validating data from primary and secondary sources to ensure consistency and quality.
• Create and update basic reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to track key business metrics.
• Write basic to intermediate SQL queries to retrieve, aggregate, and analyze dataset information.
• Support cross-functional teams and stakeholders by gathering initial reporting requirements and helping translate data into actionable insights.
• Participate in data reconciliation tasks to help resolve data quality issues.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related coursework/internship background.
• Foundational to intermediate proficiency in SQL (joins, group by/aggregations, basic subqueries, and familiarity with CTEs).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, basic data analysis).
• Basic understanding of relational databases and fundamental data modeling concepts.
• Experience or coursework in data cleansing, transformation, and validation techniques.
• Financial background or coursework is a plus.
• Strong curiosity, analytical mindset, and acute attention to detail.
• Ability to present technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates.
