Role Description

We are recruiting for an Information Support Officer who will play an instrumental role in transforming our analytical capabilities. To this end, we are seeking a candidate who is excited by the power of data and can apply their knowledge and use of statistics.

A sound knowledge of Excel is essential as this will lay the foundations as we continue to move to the use of more innovative tools and systems. We use Alteryx and Tableau; however, experience of these is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.

The successful candidate will have good technical and analytical skills, with a keen interest in data, information, and reporting. You will be meticulous, organised, and flexible in your approach, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. You will be comfortable working independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team, supporting colleagues, responding to queries, and helping to find practical solutions to data and information needs.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and optimise Alteryx workflows, including schedules and data connections.
• Implement fixes and changes to current workflows.
• Upkeep and refreshing of documentation.
• Monitor performance and usage of Tableau dashboards.
• Implement fixes and changes to Tableau dashboards.
• Support release of new Tableau dashboards with testing.
• Contribute to other data tasks for the Analytics team.
• Auditing of documentation, Alteryx workflows and Tableau dashboards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Monitoring of Teams chats and email inboxes in order to respond to queries, questions and support requests.
• Follow information governance and data protection requirements, including appropriate access control.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of basic data visualisations and data reporting.
• Intermediate knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
• Clear and concise documentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and produce high quality outputs.
