Role Description
The Business Intelligence Analyst supports the mission of OCHIN by designing, developing, testing, documenting, maintaining, and troubleshooting reports across a broad platform of business intelligence tools. As a member of OCHIN’s Population Health/Reporting Analytics department, the BIA role supports the full lifecycle of projects particularly the requirements definitions, quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing phases of projects. This role requires an above-average ability and desire to communicate in email, via JIRA tickets, and over the phone, as well as to effectively balance multiple competing priorities.
This position has strong people connection to our Clinic Membership, to our coworkers at OCHIN and other business partners. It demands an above average ability and desire to communicate in email, via JIRA ticketing response or over the phone.
- Participate in requirement gathering, defining scope and objectives of business requirements, including documentation of requirements (i.e. use cases) and relevant translation into system requirement specifications.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in assigned reporting system, internally and with members or external customers.
- Responsible for the execution of full reporting lifecycle from design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and update technical documentation for reporting systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in Health care IT is required. Experience in a Healthcare setting, Ambulatory or Acute Care settings is preferred/required.
- A current Epic certification in Cogito or Clarity. If no certification, a minimum of two years of experience in Cogito or Clarity preferred/required.
- Displayed knowledge of the language of the assigned data system and business intelligence toolset (SQL, Epic Cogito, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Tableau).
- Experience with SQL, Business Objects, and Crystal Reports required.
- Experience in working with others to identify, define and analyze end user requirements and timelines designed to meet business needs.

- Work Location and Travel Requirements: OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint (min-$77,235 mid-$96,544), with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
