[Hiring] Fraud Prevention Analyst @the Client

Role Description

This role analyzes transactions across multiple payment channels to detect suspicious or high-risk activity. The analyst investigates and assesses potential risks, collaborating directly with clients, internal partners, and peer financial institutions to track, research, and resolve issues. Based on findings, the analyst determines and executes appropriate actions to mitigate risk, prevent further loss, and protect compromised accounts from subsequent fraudulent activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis:
  • Compiles and analyzes transactions for multiple payment channels.
  • Reviews transactions to identify high-risk situations, fraudulent activity, and internal control breakdowns.
  • Prefers previous experience with wires or ACH payments.
• Fraud Prevention:
  • Investigates potential fraud, risk, or internal control breakdowns identified by transaction analysis.
  • Determines the appropriate course of action to stop further loss.
  • Ensures compliance with Bank regulations throughout loss prevention activities.

Qualifications

• Banking experience — teller, call center, or other function (2 years required)
• Internet research skills (1 year required)
• Communication skills — will partner with clients, peers, and other departments to resolve alerts
• Analytical skills — ability to consume and process multiple sources of information to take appropriate action

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of banking experience (teller, call center, or other banking function)
• Minimum 1 year of internet research experience

Nice-to-Have Experience

• 1 year of previous fraud payment screening experience
• Prior experience with wires or ACH payments
