[Hiring] Databricks & Snowflake Data Engineer @Hiflylabs

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Snowflake & Databricks Data Engineer to support a Snowflake-to-Databricks migration project . The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with both Snowflake and Databricks , with a proven background in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and modern data platforms.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting Snowflake-to-Databricks data migration activities
• Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines in Snowflake and Databricks
• Developing data ingestion and transformation processes from various sources
• Migrating and optimizing existing data workflows, ETL processes, and transformation logic
• Building and maintaining data transformations using SQL, Python, dbt, and other data engineering tools
• Working with Databricks technologies, including Apache Spark-based data processing
• Optimizing pipelines for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and maintainability
• Automating data workflows and orchestration processes using tools such as Airflow or similar technologies
• Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions
• Ensuring data quality and reliability throughout migration and development processes

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (DBX) and Spark-based data processing
• Experience with Snowflake-to-Databricks migration projects is highly preferred
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with complex data transformations
• Experience with Python and modern data engineering tools
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar
• Ability to work independently in a remote contractor environment
• Fluent Spanish communication skills
• Strong technical and business English (oral, reading and writing)
• Availability to work within LATAM time zones
