[Hiring] Data Governance Architect @Infostrux Solutions

Role Description

As a Data Governance Architect at Infostrux, you will own the delivery of a data governance workstream from end to end, leading a team of data governance associates, specialists, and engineers and serving as the senior governance voice in front of the client. You will design the governance solution, run the delivery team day-to-day, and be accountable for the outcome.

• Lead the governance workstream end-to-end, from discovery and current-state assessment through design, implementation, handover, and adoption.
• Manage the work of a team of data governance associates, specialists, and engineers to achieve it.
• Run the technical discovery and own the design of the governance solution for the workstream.
• Build the project backlog and own it through delivery; ensure tickets are written, groomed, and estimated, and manage the team's workload.
• Direct the day-to-day work of team members; run engagement ceremonies (stand-ups, reviews, retros).
• Accountable for implementation and for testing and validation of the workstream's deliverables.
• Own architecture and design documentation for the workstream and the propagation of changes to the client and team.
• Act as the senior governance voice in front of the client for the workstream.
• Consulted by senior stakeholders on billing, engagement financials, status reporting, and SoW change requests.
• Mentor L0–L1 team members on their projects and provide input to their yearly career reviews.

Qualifications

• A passion for turning data into a trusted asset, with a strong understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and the ability to apply them in real-world, cross-functional environments.
• Understanding of metadata management, data quality, master data management capabilities, and data governance tools.
• Technical expertise across modern data ecosystems; working understanding of data platform architecture, access control, data quality control, data protection, data modeling, auditability, and evidence.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, allowing you to explore, profile, and validate data independently to support governance efforts and uncover root causes of data issues.
• A collaborative and consultative mindset, with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, build trust, and guide them through governance adoption.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, enabling you to translate complex governance concepts into simple, clear language and processes that drive understanding and adoption.
• A problem-solving attitude, proactively identifying data risks or gaps and creatively implementing practical, scalable solutions.
• A commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date on new technologies and governance trends to keep your practices modern and effective.

Requirements

• Data Governance Certification (CIMP, CDS, etc.)
• Data Management Certification (CDMP, etc.)
• Understanding of platforms, infrastructure, ML, and so on.
• Administrator-level training and/or certification for Data Governance or Cataloging tools (Collibra, Atlan, Ataccama, etc.)
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluency in French.
