Role Description

Join the Clinical Insights team as a key part of our engineering organization — a Data Engineer who helps keep clinical data pipelines and client-facing applications running reliably across 10+ client environments every single day. This role supports the full lifecycle of client data infrastructure and application delivery:

• SFTP ingestion
• AWS data lake operations
• Application environment setup and deployment support
• Pipeline monitoring and incident response

This is not a business intelligence or analytics role. You'll build and operate the infrastructure that the entire product and client delivery organization depends on.

This role reports to the team's DataOps lead and works under their technical direction on environment provisioning, infrastructure changes, and architectural decisions.

Role Summary

In this role, you will:

• Support daily operation and monitoring of data pipelines across 10+ concurrent client environments, triaging failures and escalating complex issues to the DataOps lead.
• Set up, configure, and support deployment of client-facing applications.
• Validate that daily data flows complete successfully across all client environments.
• Support provisioning and configuration of new client environments.
• Contribute to the team's CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting for pipeline health.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation.

Qualifications

• U.S. work authorization is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3+ years of experience in data engineering, DevOps, or DataOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data pipeline infrastructure.
• Strong Python scripting ability for data ingestion, validation, and pipeline automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control practices.
• Experience setting up, configuring, and supporting application deployments.
• Experience managing multi-client or multi-tenant data environments.
• Experience participating in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Comfortable working as a generalist across infrastructure, data engineering, and DevOps.

Requirements

• Experience with Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Posit Connect or R/Shiny environment familiarity.
• Docker and containerized deployment experience.
• SAML/SSO certificate management and cloud security practices.
• Healthcare data environment experience.
• Experience building monitoring and alerting systems for data pipelines.
• Occasional direct client IT coordination experience.

Benefits

• Estimated base salary: $110,000 - $150,000 USD.
• Total estimated compensation range (including annual incentive compensation): $126,500 - $172,500 USD.
