[Hiring] Data Architect @CIYIS

Role Description

We are seeking a Data Architect to become an integral part of our consulting team @ CIYIS! The Data Architect will work with our customers and internal delivery team to ensure successful identification and implementation of an enterprise data cloud for a Federal Customer.

The Data Architect would be responsible for:

• Designing data models and architecting strategies for data acquisitions, archival, recovery, and implementation of data within cloud solutions.
• Leading and/or participating in requirements gathering and analysis sessions with clients to determine data requirements.
• Designing and building relational databases.
• Developing strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
• Working in a data warehouse environment, which includes database design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
• Translating business needs into long-term data architecture solutions.
• Defining, designing, and building dimensional databases.
• Developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems.
• Evaluating reusability of current data for additional analyses.
• Reviewing objects, data models, and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.

Qualifications

• 10+ years professional experience with a minimum of 5 years in consulting, preferably working in client-facing mission-critical data warehouse, data lake, and/or data cloud projects.
• Excellent communication skills to include internal/external interaction, documentation, and presentations.
• Experience working with modeling tools (e.g., one or more of the following: ER/Win, Power Designer, ERStudio or other similar tools).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint preferred.
• Proven ability to self-manage and complete project deliverables.
• Confident in making decisions, accurate, detail-oriented, and able to problem solve/analyze.
• Good interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication with basic project management skills.

Requirements

• 4 Year degree in business administration, economics, computer sciences, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• No visa sponsorship available.
• U.S Citizen.
